Being true to its mission of providing information and educational services in the community, the Philippine Nurses Association of Indiana, Inc. (PNA-IN) conducted its Wellness Screening Program at Hillside Crossing, 512 Hillside Drive, Bloomington, Indiana last September 26, 2015 thru the effort of Gilda Lauchli, PNA-IN Board Member.

 

Various services such as Blood Pressure checking, BMI, and Glucose Testing, Dental Screening, Pediatric Eye Screening and Bystander CPR were offered. There were twenty four (24) clients who availed of these services. Giveaways donated by Arlington Dental, Meijer, and CVS were then distributed to each client after the screening.

 

The Wellness Screening was supported by the officers of PNA Indiana headed by the President Mattie Upano, the benevolent sponsors: Joseph Fitzgerald owner of Deer Park Management, Kevin Huntley Excavating, Black Lumber, and Max & Gilda Lauchli, Dwellings, LLC owners as well as PNA-IN volunteers, Dr. Nestor Reyes, DDS and the visiting scholars from St. Paul University Iloilo College of Nursing and St. Paul’s Hospital Iloilo City, Philippines who helped and organized the said activity Their concerted effort made the activity possible and successful. Truly, the wellness screening is a manifestation of real concern and compassion for
the community.
