2017 PNA-IN BSN Educational Grant Awardee

Catherine graduated in May 2017 from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, Minor in Spanish. She graduated with Honors:  Magna Cum Laude. She was also consistently in the Dean’s List every semester while in nursing school.  PNA-IN is so very proud of your scholastic achievement!

As a new RN, she believes it is important that she is involved in nursing organizations to continue her education as well as seek mentors as she begins her nursing career.  Catherine knows that she will continue to grow in her profession as she gains more experience as an RN, learn from her peers, coworkers, and other PNA-IN members.  She plans to work in the clinical setting of pediatrics, critical care, or in the emergency setting.  She plans to pursue graduate school to receive her MSN a few years after working as an RN.

She looks forward to be involved as a PNA-IN member and in promoting health and wellness in the community.  As a member, she would like to provide inexpensive CPR training to the community.  Providing CPR training at a lower cost will likely increase community involvement in health promotion.  As members of the healthcare profession, it is important for us to provide education to the community about their health. She supports the mission and values of PNA-IN and in providing education to the community outside of the clinical setting.

Congratulations, Catherine!
